WHAT IS THE WESTON AFC POST 16 YOUTH ACADEMY?

The Youth Academy is a 2 year football development programme open to talented footballers and coaches aged between 16-18 years.

The Youth Academy is a must for any player or coach who is serious about developing their full potential. An assessment of your football talent is required as places are offered based on a combination of technical ability and academic grades.

WHY JOIN THE WESTON AFC YOUTH ACADEMY?

We have a proven track record of academy players progressing into National League football and for some, on to represent the senior England team at non-league level. We have teamed up with Churchill Academy, the leading sixth forms in North Somerset, to deliver a comprehensive programme that meets your every need.

Youth players train under the guidance of the first team coaching staff, so they are able to showcase their talent on a daily basis. We aim to get players senior experience either with our development squad or through our close links to clubs in the area.

For aspiring coaches we offer a unique opportunity to gain additional coaching qualifications and work experience with the SAS Community Trust who operate various football projects throughout North Somerset.
