ALFIE MOULDEN DEPARTS THE CLUB
Attacker Alfie Moulden has departed the club and signed for Northern Premier League Premier Division side Guiseley AFC.
Moulden has made the decision to head back up north to his native area of Yorkshire after spending the last few years playing his trade in the south-west.
After joining the club in October 2021 from Willand Rovers, Alfie scored six goals and assisted three in 28 games for Scott Bartlett’s side.
Some of Alfie’s most memorable moments in a Seagulls shirt include his stunning goal against Wimborne Town on his full debut at The Optima and the injury-time equaliser against Truro City on New Year’s Day 2022.
On Alfie’s departure, Manager Scott Bartlett said:
Alfie is a great lad and a very good player. He has been a bit unlucky and I’ll take some blame for him not playing as much as he would like, we both agree that players in his positions have been consistent.
“I wasn’t looking for Alf to leave but he is a brilliant lad and had an opportunity to go back home for a while, and Guiseley have offered him a good chance to play.
“I am sure everyone will join me in wishing Alf the best of luck for the future”.
Everyone at Weston-super-Mare AFC thanks Alfie for his contribution to the club and wishes him all the best for the future.
