ATTACKING RANKS BOLSTERED BY BARTLETT

Manager Scott Bartlett has bolstered the squad ahead of the run-in by signing versatile left-sided player Lewis Hall from Taunton Town as well as winger Jennison Myrie-Williams, who makes his return to The Optima Stadium.

Scott said:

With so many postponements causing disruption to our schedule, there was a need to bolster the squad.

I am delighted to secure the services of Jennison and Lewis, two experienced and versatile players that have shown a good desire to come and be part of the run-in.

We are going to have an incredible amount of games in a short space of time. It’s a difficult task but we are going to hit it head on and have a right go and see where we end up.

About Lewis

The 24-year-old joined Bristol City as a 14-year-old in 2010 and progressed through the ranks to sign a professional deal in February 2013.

He got his first taste of senior football out on loan with National League North side Gloucester City when joining in November 2014 for the next month. He made 13 appearances during his loan spell with the Tigers.

Hall was released by Bristol City in May 2015 and signed for Gloucester permanently in the summer of 2015. He went on to become a regular player for the club as he scored nine goals for the Tigers.

The attacking-minded player moved on to National League North side Hereford FC in the summer of 2018 and spent the next few months at Edgar Street.

He moved onto Taunton Town in October 2018 and became a regular with the Peacocks, playing a vital role in their run to the playoffs last season.

About Jennison

The winger joined the Bristol City academy in 2002 and progressed through the ranks at the club to become professional, finding himself on the fringes of the first-team.

After appearing 35 times for the Robins in the 2006-2007 season, he spent the next couple of seasons on loan with Cheltenham Town, Tranmere Rovers, Carlisle United and Hereford United.

He was released by Bristol City in the summer of 2009.

He went on to play for Dundee United, St Johnstone and Stevenage before settling at Port Vale for two-and-a-half seasons.

The experienced winger featured for Scunthorpe United and Tranmere Rovers over the 2014-2015 season before spending a short spell with League of Ireland Premier team Sligo Rovers.

He spent the next couple of seasons with Newport County, Torquay United and Hereford FC before signing for Weston in November 2018 and seeing out the rest of the season with the Seagulls.

He moved on to National League North side Gloucester City in the summer of 2019 before leaving in January 2020.

Everyone at the club would like to welcome Lewis to The Optima Stadium and we welcome Jennison back to familiar surroundings.
