AVERY SIGNS CONTRACT FOR NEW CAMPAIGN

Weston-super-Mare AFC are delighted to announce that Sam Avery has signed a new contract ahead of the 2022-2023 season.

The supporters’ player of the season formed part of the Southern League Premier South’s second-best defence last season, making 43 appearances and scoring three goals with one assist.

Avery joined the club in January 2020 and has been an important member of the squad ever since, becoming a trusted mainstay in the centre of defence.

Manager Scott Bartlett said:

Sam will go down as one of our most consistent players ever.

He is a model professional and as well as being a very good defender, he is excellent on the ball”.

We are delighted that Sam has signed a new contract for the forthcoming season and we look forward to seeing him back on the pitch come July.
