BROWN DEPARTS FOR PAULTON

Experienced midfielder Aaron Brown has departed the Woodspring Stadium for Southern League Premier side Paulton Rovers.

The former Bristol City man turned out for the Seagulls on 32 occasions last season, scoring on one occasion – a sumptuous free-kick against Hayes and Yeading.

It’s understood that 35 year-old will be taking on a coaching role with Rovers, in addition to playing duties.

Weston boss Ryan Northmore responded to the news, commenting “Aaron was great to work with. He is vastly experienced and although he didn’t feature as much as he would have liked last year, but when he did play he performed well.

Going into the new season I was not able to put an offer to him that I would be comfortable with, given Aaron’s background.
Consequently, he has decided to accept an offer elsewhere. It’s been an amicable split and we thank him for what he has done and wish him well in the future

 concluded Northmore.

We would like to thank Aaron for his efforts, and wish him the best of luck for the future.
