BYRNE SET TO STAY WITH SEAGULLS

Alex Byrne has signed on with Weston-super-Mare AFC for the 2019-20 season.

Scott Bartlett said:

We are pleased to agree terms with Alex.

“He is a good player with a lot of technical ability and a good range of passing.

“He is comfortable at left-back as well as being a good midfield player so gives our squad balance and some good options as well.

“We are looking forward to working with him.”

“We hope to make progress with another couple of signings in the near future, ideally before we start pre season training next weekend.”

Alex Byrne said :

I am looking forward to playing for Weston again next season.

“It’s a great club with great fans and I can’t wait to get started.”

The midfielder joined permanently last summer following his release from Exeter City and made 46 appearances during the season as he scored two goals.

We look forward to seeing Alex back in a Seagulls shirt for the forthcoming season.
