CLUB SPORTS HALL SET TO BECOME STATE-OF-THE-ART GYM
The sports hall at the Woodspring Stadium will soon be turned into a gym, with Adam Stanton’s CrossFit Oxhouse taking over the facility.
Below is just a bit of what the business provides, taken from the CrossFit Oxhouse website:
Fitness programme:
This is a daily circuit style fitness class designed to work all energy systems to build functional strength and cardio vascular fitness, using a combination of bodyweight movements, cardio machines, kettle bells, dumbbells and strong man style movements.
You are taken through the class by one of our experienced fitness coaches who will scale the workout to your ability from beginner to seasoned athlete.
Looking to burn off those extra calories and tone up? Or want to take your fitness to the next level? Then our Fitness programme is the way forward, and best of all it’s great fun!
CrossFit programme:
If you’re looking for a little more strength and skill work than our Fitness programme, then that is where our CrossFit programme comes in. This is a structured strength and conditioning programme utilising weightlifting and gymnastic movements as well as conditioning elements you will find in our Fitness classes.
These classes are also run by one of our experienced coaches who will scale the workout to your needs and push you to reach your goals.
Enjoy hitting individual strength and conditioning workouts as well as battling through challenges as a team.
CrossFit Kids:
We also run CrossFit Kids and teen classes. These are fun fitness classes where kids and teens learn skills and gain strength and fitness along with plenty of fun and games.
We offer kids and teen classes alongside our adult classes so you can drop the kids in to burn off some energy while you join one of our Fitness or CrossFit classes to get your gym fix at the same time!
Community:
Our gym has a real community feel, you are not alone in your fitness journey. We see ourselves as a family. We give each other the support needed to reach our goals, help one another through our daily workouts, and do team workouts together, offering daily diet and lifestyle advice, and online support through social media, and social events.
When asked about how this deal would benefit the club, Adam said:
“We are really looking forward to working with Weston’s first team to bring up their fitness level in the gym that they can apply to the pitch on game day, and build a strong foundation to prevent injury”.
Weston-super-Mare AFC’s Managing Director, Oli Bliss, said:
“OxHouse and we are looking forward to them coming to the site, this not only will improve the income for the club but it will also bring a very useful facility to the local area and our first team will, I’m sure, take advantage of this. The lease will start on 19th November”.
We look forward to welcoming Adam’s company to the Weston-super-Mare AFC family.
