CLUB STATEMENT

Weston-super-Mare AFC are aware of an incident that occurred during our Southern League Premier Division South match against Yate Town last night at The Optima Stadium.

Following an initial report a supporter, not associated with Weston-super-Mare AFC, was spoken to by Club officials, and following further information being provided, the supporter was asked to leave The Optima Stadium, which he did.

We thank those club members, and supporters, who brought the matter to our attention, and allowed us to carry out the requisite discussion and action.

Weston-super-Mare AFC would like to reiterate part of our ground regulations whereby we state: The spectators shall not use obscene, racist, insulting language or make offensive or insulting remarks.

The Club stand against any form of discrimination and will take action when required.
