After a slow start in ticket sales, we are delighted to announce the comedy night that was held at the club last weekend was a great success. Over 50 people attended the club’s first comedy night and they were not disappointed with the entertainment on offer.
Commercial director Neil Keeling said “As we have never tried this kind of night before you can imagine we were a little tentative on how the night and ticket sales would go but we are really happy with how the first night went.”
Following the event, season-ticket holder Alan Cooper commented “It was a great night of laughter at the hands of two merciless comics and their compere for the evening. I’m already watching out for the next date.”
Keeling added “We are really trying to get things going here commercially at the football club but, as ever, we need everyone involved from directors to players, staff and of course our own fan base to support what we are doing as and when they can.
“We [the board] are meeting this week to plan a series of events throughout 2016 and beyond and have some really good ideas on the table.
“We obviously have a major football tournament this summer, but we would like to supplement this with other function ideas.
“We openly invite any suggestions from fans and supporters alike of any events they would like to see at their Club”, concluded Keeling.
The Club would like to thank all those who supported, helped and attended the comedy night.
