The club are pleased to announce that Scott Bartlett has secured the future of Dayle Grubb at the Woodspring Stadium for a further two seasons. This is in line with his policy of retaining a settled squad to go into the 2017-18 season and compete for a play off place. It also go towards ensuring the squad is settled for the challenge ahead to climb the table, hopefully starting with a win against Hemel Hempstead on Saturday.
Dayle said of his signing ‘I am very happy with the way the Club is progressing now since Scott has come in as Head Coach. He is building a team for the season now and beyond and I want to be part of that. Hopefully we will be pushing for play off places next season’
Scott commented ‘I am delighted Grubby has committed his future to us. He is a fantastic footballer that has given his whole career to our club and that should be both recognised and rewarded. I said a little while ago that sometimes your most important signings are the players already at your club and this is the case with Dayle.
Obviously I was here when he was first breaking into the first team and I am not surprised he has done well. I have worked for years in the league above and in my opinion he is one of the best players in non league football in his position’.
