Chelmsford City v WSM

Chelmsford City 1 - 0 weston super mare
03 Sep 2016 - 15:00

A battling performance from the Seagulls wasn’t enough to see them secure a point in their match against a well-drilled Chelmsford side.

The home team piled the pressure on to visitors for the duration of the first half but Weston’s major chance came when Dayle Grubb went through on goal yet fired wide, seeing Bristol City loanee Shawn McCoulsky left wanting for the tap-in.

The Seagulls held strong until the 80th minute when Jordan Williams found himself beaten far too easily by his man with the resultant cross being converted by a header and finding it’s home by Shamir Mullings at the back post for the game’s only goal.
