Harrow Borough v Weston super Mare

Harrow Borough 0 - 4 Weston super Mare
21 Dec 2019 - 15:00Earlsmead Stadium

A Brad Ash strike and James Waite hat-trick saw the Seagulls to a 4-0 win away at Harrow.

Nick McCootie had an early chance when he was fed into space down the left, but his shot from outside the area into Ashby-Hammond’s arms.
Weston took the lead moments later though when Vincent Harper drove down the left and slipped in Brad Ash, who stayed composed to slot in and break the deadlock.

James Waite had an early chance for himself when controlling a Dan Martin pass, but he fired over from the edge of the area. Ash curled into the arms of Ashby-Hammond inside the area after Laird drilled a pass into him, and George Moore had a shot deflected just wide down the other end.

Laird fired over from 25 yards after McCootie had laid a pass off to him.

The Seagulls doubled their advantage when McCootie nicked the ball in midfield and played it onto Ash. His deft touch sent Waite away, and he stayed calm to slot through the keeper’s legs and make it 2-0.

In the second half, Martin went close when Harper won the ball by the byline and laid it off to the left-back, who drove wide from the corner of the area.

Weston got their third when a quick throw-in from Parsons found Ash just inside the box. He turned and put the ball into the box but Preddie headed it out, only for Waite to crash in a volley from the edge of the area.

Moore had an opportunity for Harrow but saw his effort pushed away by Purnell, before the Seagulls got their fourth.

Vincent Harper turned past three defenders in one move, nutmegged another defender and played through Waite, who rounded the goalkeeper and slotted in to an empty net to round up the scoring.
