Away to Hendon, the Seagulls lost 4-0.
Hendon had a few early opportunities when Luke Purnell was quick to get down low and keep out Liam Brooks’ one-on-one, before Shaun Lucien fired over from 12 yards out as a cut-back found him in the area, and he fired into Purnell’s arms after drifting past Aaron Parsons.
Tom Smith hit Purnell’s side netting from a corner at the back post, before Georgiou’s attempt from the edge of the area was held by Purnell. Weston had their first chance of the game when a Scott Laird cross flashed across the face of goal, but Nick McCootie fired over from six yards out.
Hendon broke the deadlock when a corner bounced around the box, and right-back Luke Tingey was in the right place to hammer home on his left foot to break the deadlock.
Rihards Matrevics was called into action by Weston for the first time when Waite’s powerful drive after cutting inside from the left was pushed away, with Brad Ash having a goal ruled out for offside after being slipped in by McCootie.
Weston had a golden opportunity to equalise when a Laird ball into the box found Ash, his first touch taking him away from goal but Matrevics brought the forward down. Up stepped Laird, and for the first time this season, he missed his spot-kick as Matrevics got down low to his left to push it away.
After the interval, Georgiou had an effort held down low by Purnell as he drove down the left, and Waite sliced wide for Weston 18 yards out from Martin’s pull-back. Georgiou had another chance, but his shot from a good angle was kicked away by the feet of Purnell.
Hendon grabbed their second when a long kick forward by Matrevics just evaded the head of Greg Tindle, and landed straight on the foot of Brooks. The striker turned and lashed a powerful drive in past Purnell for 2-0.
Hendon quickly got their third when a long ball forward found Lucien, who managed to skip past Chris Knowles at the by-line and pull it back for substitute Joe Felix, who slotted into the corner of the net.
Ash had an attempt from a tight angle saved after Knowles had fed the striker into the right channel.
Hendon made it four when Sam Corcoran picked the ball up 20 yards out and fired in a drive, which smacked off the inside of the post and rolled over the line for 4-0.
Weston continued to plug away at Hendon, as Waite had an effort pushed away by Matrevics before Laird had a dig from 25 yards which Matrevics pushed away with a combination of his hands and chest, but Hendon held on to be the first side to keep Weston off the scoresheet this season.
