Wimborne Town scored two minutes into injury time to beat the Seagulls 2-1 after Joel Randall had equalised 12 minutes from the end.
Wimborne had the first chance of the afternoon when Sam Bayston had an attempt from 25 yards, but fired over the bar. Scott Laird then forced home keeper Cameron Plain into a save, Plain pushing a 30-yard free-kick away. Joel Randall also had an opportunity from outside the area but curled wide after Laird’s backheel.
Just before half-time, Luke Burbidge ran at the defence and shot as he entered the box, but his shot across goal was tipped wide by Maher.
Wimborne broke the deadlock six minutes after the interval when the home side launched a counter from a Weston corner, the ball was slid through to Bayston and he calmly rounded Maher to slot into an empty net.
After the goal, Maher had to stay alert to prevent Tony Lee from scoring at the near post after the forward had robbed Greg Tindle, and Plain just about kept out a Dowling free-kick from 20 yards. Wimborne substitute Kieran Roberts then had a drive from inside the box headed clear by the diving Charlie Madden.
Lee had an opportunity to kill the game as he headed over at the back post from a corner before Weston equalised.
Alex Byrne nodded on for Jay Malsanskyj, who prodded the ball onto Randall. The winger sized his man up before drilling a high shot in off the crossbar to draw his side level.
Plain reacted sharply to palm away a Howe header from six yards, but Wimborne stole victory at the death.
A cross into the box was knocked down by Bayston, and Lee turned in past Maher from a few yards to win the three points.
