The National League has released the fixtures for National League South for the upcoming campaign.
We asked the fixture compiler to avoid Bristol City FC fixtures where possible and that has largely been accomplished.
Our away trips are even longer this year as we have lost a few clubs that are relatively close to us in Farnborough, Staines Town and of course Salisbury City who failed to start the season. In their place have come Maidstone United (186 miles), Margate (226 miles), and Dartford (180 miles). We are fortunate that they are all Saturday fixtures with the exception of Truro City away on a Tuesday in March but of course the travelling is a drain on our resources.
Other long journeys include Eastbourne Borough, Whitehawk, Ebbsfleet United, and of course an opening day cross-county trip to Concord Rangers.
The big disappointment is that the local derby over Christmas with Bath City has gone and now we play them home and away on Bank Holidays in August and March. In their place we have two matches against Hayes and Yeading and a home match against Oxford City.
