HOLMES AND KEMPSTER DEPART ON LOAN
Central midfielder Jack Holmes has joined Slimbridge on a one-month loan, with winger Bailey Kempster joining Willand, also on a one-month loan.
The deals are both subject to the final approval of paperwork.
The two were heavily involved throughout pre-season and both now seek match minutes away from The Optima Stadium having not featured in competitive action so far this season.
Slimbridge have two league fixtures over the next month, while they are involved in FA Cup and FA Trophy qualifiers against Sholing and AFC Totton respectively.
Willand also have two league games as well as FA Cup and FA Trophy games against Swindon Supermarine and Bideford.
Manager Scott Bartlett said:
Lairdy and I wrestled with letting Bailey and Jack go out on loan because we want them with us but also want the best for them.
However, the overriding factor was to get them games and we felt with the form of the team and them both having good pre-seasons with us, it was probably the right time because it enables us to have them back in time for the Shepton Mallet game”.
We wish both players good luck over the next month with their respective sides.
