HUMPHRIES SIGNS NEW CONTRACT

Weston-super-Mare AFC are delighted to announce that midfielder Lloyd Humphries has signed a new contract for the 2022-2023 Southern League Premier Division South season.

The Welshman had a productive season within the Seagulls’ engine room, scoring eight goals and assisting two in 44 games.

Lloyd had two loan spells with the club in the 2016-2017 season and the 2019-2020 campaign, before signing permanently in September 2020 after his departure from Cardiff City, going on to become a fans’ favourite at the Optima.

On Lloyd signing a new deal, Manager Scott Bartlett said:

Lloyd has been with me for some time now, he’s a key player for us and we are lucky to have him, he’s a very good player and a great person.

“He made another very good contribution to us last year and is desperate to get the club promoted”.

We are looking forward to seeing Lloyd back in action next season and are delighted he has committed his future to the club.
