Jacob Cane has now taken on the role of Team Captain, the role previously held by former Seagulls player Dayle Grubb.
Jacob ran out as Captain, leading the team to a victory in the away fixture played against Gloucester City at Evesham last weekend.
Marc McGregor said on the appointment of the new captain, “Jacob has helped play a pivotal part in the season so far. His experience will be invaluable in helping to lead the team to maintain our current good form.”
Jacob added, “It is a big role to take on after the departure of Grubby, he was so influential over the many years he was here. I feel privileged that Macca has entrusted me with the captaincy. I hope I am able to do a good job, helping the team as best I can and to carry on the good form we are currently enjoying. We are not far off where we want to be and there is some real belief at the club from everybody. The fans have been brilliant and also share our confidence and belief, and we as a team want to use on to where we want to be come the end of the season.”
