About Luke
Luke came through the Walsall FC Academy and was named as an unused substitute once while still an under-16 player in the 2019-2020 season.
In August 2020, he signed a two-year scholarship with Southampton and across the next two years, his form in front of goal saw him feature regularly for both the under-18s and under-21 side on the south coast. He also signed his first professional contract in July 2021.
During the first half of the 2022-2023 season, he made three appearances for Southampton’s U21 side in the EFL Trophy.
In January 2023, Pearce was handed his first regular experience of senior football with a loan to National League South Eastbourne Borough until the end of the season. During his time at Borough, he scored six goals and assisted two in 18 games.
In September 2023, he signed for National League South side Torquay United on a one-month loan, making five appearances and scoring one goal while being an unused substitute twice.
He has also made appearances at youth level for the Republic of Ireland, making two appearances each for the under-18s and under-19s as well as scoring one goal at under-18 level for his nation.
We would like to welcome Luke to the Club and wish him all the best during his time at The Optima Stadium.
