MATCH OFF

After a discussion between the National League, both clubs and the match referee the decision has been made that the game between Weston AFC and Braintree Town on Saturday afternoon is postponed.

Given the current state of the pitch, coupled with the Met Office Red and Amber warnings for the next couple of days it has been decided that the game cannot be played. Although all efforts are made to ensure games are played we have to consider not only the safety of the players on the pitch but also everybody’s welfare when travelling to and from the ground.

The rescheduled date will be published in due course.
