MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL AT ‘THE VALE’
Tonight the Seagulls travel to London where they will face Wealdstone FC.
After a heart-breaking loss to Chelmsford City on Saturday, where the players held on for 80 minutes but couldn’t see out the game and suffered a 1-0 defeat away from home, the Seagulls will be intent on turning around a poor run of form.
Wealdstone currently sit in 10th place, having won 3, drawn 4 and lost 1, proving a tough nut to crack already this season judging by their 13 points out of 21 available. Wealdstone also have a formidable strike force, with born goalscorer Eliot Benyon and former Weston striker Sahr Kabba amongst the options available.
Weston and Wealdstone have met 9 times in the past, with the Seagulls having the upper hand in the Head-To-Head clashes, having won 6 times, drawn one and lost twice, with the last loss coming in February at The Woodspring, losing 2-1. The other two times Weston met Wealdstone last season was in the league and the FA Trophy, with both results being 3-2 in Weston’s favour, with Jake Mawford and former striker Scott Wilson both scoring last minute headers to secure the win in the respective games. Everyone will be hoping for less nail-biting drama this time around!
