NATIONAL LEAGUE SOUTH FIXTURES 2016/17

The fixture list has thrown up some interesting fixtures for the Seagulls. In previous years the League Secretary used to go to Spain for two weeks to compile those fixtures. He took into account such things as proximity of football league teams. In our case we always asked for fixtures opposite Bristol City FC and this worked well.

This season we have more clashes but that should not pose too many problems for us. Both Bath City and ourselves asked to have our fixtures on Boxing Day and New Years Day to boost attendances but ended up with August and February. Our ‘local derby’ is Truro City whom we play at Treyew Road on Boxing Day and Sunday 1st January at home.

This season the League have engaged an external agency to create the fixtures and those produced are probably kinder to us as we only have 3 midweek matches with teams that are fairly local to us. Our away match at Margate is thankfully on a Saturday.

Our first home match is on the opening day of the season when we entertain Whitehawk who were in the play offs last term and did very well in the FA Cup.This is on 6th August KO 3pm.

Don’t forget we have preseason fixtures at home to Bristol Rovers FC on Wednesday 13th July, KO 7.45pm Barnsley FC on Saturday 16th July KO 3pm and the United Legends Saturday 23 July KO 3pm
