PRE-SEASON 2022 SCHEDULE CONFIRMED

Eight friendlies throughout July have been confirmed, as the Seagulls ramp up preparations for the 2022-2023 Southern League Premier Division South season.

Weston begin pre-season by welcoming newly-promoted League One side Exeter City to the Optima Stadium on 5th July before consecutive journeys to Brimscombe & Thrupp and Bridgwater United follow.

Newport County visit the seaside on Friday 15th July, with Weymouth FC then visiting eight days later as a trip to Clevedon Town is sandwiched in between the two home ties.

The Seagulls then travel up the M5 to Slimbridge AFC on 26th July before rounding off the pre-season schedule with a tough home fixture against Yeovil Town on 30th July.

On the pre-season schedule, Manager Scott Bartlett said:

I like the look of our schedule, there’s a good mix of challenges there.

“We have some tricky away games which we have become accustomed to in our league and a couple of excellent Football League teams in Exeter and Newport.

“Instead of playing U23 sides this year, we have put in tough but arguably more realistic games against Weymouth and Yeovil.”

Tickets will also be available at the turnstile on match day.

2022/23 season ticket holders will receive half-price entry to home pre-season fixtures. You will receive a discount count via email. Discounted tickets must be brought online. If you have not received your code by Friday 3rd June, please email enquiries@wsmafc.co.uk
