PREVIEW AND MATCH INFO: WESTON WELCOME YEOVIL TOWN
We are delighted to welcome Yeovil Town to The Optima Stadium on Tuesday 8th September, 7:00 PM KO.
Weston take on Yeovil this week after drawing 0-0 with Bath City on Saturday. With only two pre-season matches left, The Seagulls are hoping to add to the 19 goals they’ve scored over the last eight games.
Yeovil will travel an hour from Huish Park to join us at The Optima Stadium as we welcome fans on a Tuesday evening for the first time this season.
Tickets still available to purchase for the two remaining pre-season matches.
Manager Scott Bartlett said:
It’s another game we are looking forward to. They had a terrific season last year and I think they would have gone up automatically before Coronavirus came into play.
“Lairdy knows Darren Sarll well and we both worked with Lee Collins and Rhys Murphy at FGR, we look forward to welcoming them.
“I thought we were good on Saturday and although Bath had some good moments in the game, I thought we dominated and were the better team.
“They had some excellent players in midfield particularly league experience with Frankie Artus, Ryan Harley and Lloyd James with Tom Smith complimenting them.
“They are experienced and will be strong but I thought we dominated that area on Saturday which was pleasing.”
KEY MATCH INFO
There is no ‘pay on the day’ admission, pre-purchased tickets only.
Access to the ground for all supporters with tickets will be through the turnstiles. Two turnstiles will be open for this match.
There will now be mandatory picture ID checks for all supporters when entering The Optima Stadium to confirm the ticket validity.
Card is preferred but cash can be used at the kitchen and bar.
Access to the Somerset suite will be from inside the ground and limited to 50 people.
Unfortunately, the club shop and main bar will not be open.
2020-21 season ticket holders will be able to park for free.
Standard car parking is £2.
We will be asking supporters not to throw the match balls back onto the pitch. Stewards will collect them.
Social distancing guidelines must be adhered to at all times whilst inside The Optima Stadium.

FIND THE OPTIMA
Leave the M5 at Junction 21 and take the A370 towards Weston town centre. Continue across three roundabouts and at the 4th (where there is a McDonalds) turn left into Winterstoke Road. Go straight across the mini roundabout, over a railway bridge and you will see the ground on your right hand side.
We have a fair sized car park at the stadium however there are a limited amount of match day parking for Blue Badge holders these spaces must be booked in advance. If you are travelling by coach/mini bus please contact ahead of time to enquire about reserving a space.
