SEAGULLS BEGIN FA TROPHY CAMPAIGN

This afternoon, Weston head to Southern League Division One South side AFC Totton in the FA Trophy First Qualifying Round game.

The Seagulls have agreed with AFC Totton to agree the tie today, with no replay required. Scott Bartlett’s side come into the game off the back of a confidence-boosting 3-2 win over league leaders Tiverton Town thanks to goals from Scott Laird, Charlie Madden and Nick McCootie to push Weston up to ninth in the table.

AFC Totton currently sit 19th in the Southern League Division One South after taking seven points from 10 league games so far. Totton manager Louis Langdown has added to his squad in the last 24 hours, having signed goalkeeper Amadeusz Skrzyniarz from Romsey Town, centre-back Stuart Mott and central midfielder James Granger from Blackfield & Langley. Totton beat Slimbridge 1-0 in the previous round to reach this stage of the competition.
