SEAGULLS DRAWN AGAINST BATH CITY IN FA CUP
Following the win over Coggeshall Town at the weekend, Weston have been handed a home draw against Bath City in the FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round.
The game will be played on Saturday 20th October, with Weston’s away league fixture against Dulwich Hamlet being moved to another date. This date is yet to be confirmed.
To reach this round, Bath beat Banbury United 0 – 2 in the second qualifying round, thanks to two goals from former Seagull winger Ross Stearn in the first half. In the third qualifying round, Bath won 3 – 0 at home to Lewes, goals coming from Ryan Brunt, Adam Mann and Tom Smith.
On the draw, Marc McGregor commented: “If we want to win this cup, we have to beat good sides like Bath along the way. Jokes aside, it is a tough game but we are pleased that we are at home. Bath are playing really well currently so it should be a great game and one we are looking forward to as a group”.
