SEAGULLS HEAD INTO BATTLE WITH DARTFORD
Tomorrow afternoon, the Seagulls face a tough test against the visiting Dartford, who are currently battling it out for a playoff spot.
The Seagulls will find themselves officially relegated if Hungerford gain a point at home to Slough and Truro manage to defeat Concord at home, with the Seagulls also losing at home to Dartford on the day. Weston haven’t won a league game since their win over Torquay United at the start of March, with the teams above them now quickly gaining momentum. Caretaker manager Mark McKeever will be boosted by the news that Alex Bray and Marlon Jackson are now back in full training.
Dartford will look to keep their playoff push going, currently sat in 6th but having stalled in recent weeks. Two draws and a loss have seen Concord Rangers almost catch up to them, with three points separating the sides and Dartford nervously looking over their shoulder as they aim to maintain their spot in the playoffs.
Last time these two sides met was back in September. Lee Noble glanced home a header in the 14th minute to put the home side ahead, before Gethyn Hill equalised with virtually the last kick of the first half from 25 yards. In the second half, Jamie Philpot netted the winner by rolling home a square pass into an unguarded net.
The game kicks off at The Optima Stadium on Saturday 6th April at 15:00. Tickets for the game cost £12 adults, £8 concessions, £3 U16s and U8s go free. A family ticket costs £20 (2 adults and up to 2 children).
