SEAGULLS HEAD TO CHELMSFORD FOR NON-LEAGUE DAY

This Saturday, Weston will travel to Essex to face off against Chelmsford City in a bid to get themselves back onto winning ways after a disappointing Bank Holiday Weekend.

The Seagulls have now suffered three defeats in their last three games and with a trip to Chelmsford on the horizon, Weston will want to stop their dip in form before it gets even worse and prove all the doubters wrong.

Chelmsford are currently enjoying a good spell in the league and sit in 9th position with 11 points. In Chelmsford’s last game, they triumphed over Welling 2-0 away from home and will be wanting to push further up the league.

Chelmsford and Weston have met on 16 previous occasions, with Weston having lost 9 games, drawn 2 and won 5 games. Weston’s away record at Chelmsford currently stands at 8 games played, 3 wins, 1 draw and 4 losses.

Head Coach Ryan Northmore on Chelmsford: “Chelmsford are a tough side and I expect a physical game. It’s time for our more experienced players to step up and lead the assault”.

Northmore on last weekend: “We are still hurting [from last weekend] and the only answer is to take a point or three at Chelmsford”.

Available Seagulls Squad: Barnes, Dowling, Fortune, Grubb, Ingram, Kington, McClennan, McCoulsky, Meechan, Mullings, Pope, Purnell, Simpson, Richards, Williams, Wring.
