SEAGULLS HEAD TO DEVON FOR PARKWAY CLASH
Weston are back on the road this Bank Holiday Monday, 29th August, as they take on the reigning Southern League Division One South champions, Plymouth Parkway. The game at Bolitho Park kicks off at 3pm.
Weston head into the game top of the table after the emphatic 7-0 mauling of Harrow Borough on Saturday. Dayle Grubb and Ben Griffith scored a brace each to add to single strikes from James Dodd, Marlon Jackson and Elis Watts.
Parkway, on the other hand, are yet to register a victory and suffered their fourth consecutive defeat at Gosport on Saturday. Parkway took an early lead in that game before Gosport took control and went on to win by five goals to one.
Parkway had started the season with a respectable 2-2 draw with Chesham before losing out to Beaconsfield, Dorchester and Merthyr before the heavy loss at Gosport.
Despite their poor start, Parkway will certainly not be pushovers and will be looking to bounce back. However, The Seagulls’ confidence will be sky high and Weston will go into this game looking for another three points to end the month of August in pole position at the top of the table.
