SEAGULLS JOURNEY TO HIGH FLIERS WELLING
This Saturday, the Seagulls make the trip to Park View Road, where they will face 4th-placed Welling United as both sides look for the three points.
Weston are unbeaten in their last three league outings, but face one of their toughest games of the campaign so far. The Seagulls have already proven that they have the quality within their squad after going toe-to-toe with National League leaders Wrexham in the FA Cup first round. Marc McGregor’s squad is boosted by the return of Jake Lee, who has missed the past three games due to getting married and then going on honeymoon!
Welling currently sit 4th in the National League South table, with 28 points from 15 games. Welling forward Matthew Paterson, last season on the books of Oxford City, is one to watch out for under Steve King’s tutelage this season, with the experienced striker having been scoring goals for the Wings.
Last time the Seagulls journeyed to Welling United, they lost 3 – 1. Going behind early on, the Seagulls never recovered but scored a consolation through Jarrad Welch, firing into the top corner from 25 yards out and leaving the home keeper with no chance to make sure that Weston didn’t leave the ground without a goal to their name back in April.
