SEAGULLS KICK OFF SOMERSET PREMIER CUP CAMPAIGN

Weston are in Somerset Premier Cup action as they take on Hengrove Athletic at the Optima Stadium this Tuesday, November 7th. The matck kicks off at 7:45pm.

It is the first of four consecutive games for The Seagulls at the Optima Stadium, as ‘Grove’ make the short journey here to BS24.

On Saturday, Weston were in Vanarama National League South action as they lost 2-0 at Aveley. Hengrove, meanwhile, had their Western League Division One game at home to Longwell Green postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. In their last game that took place they beat Cheddar 3-1 at their AVB Stadium home last Tuesday night after goals from Regan Burton, George Green and Jack Jones.

It has been nearly five years since Hengrove and Weston have faced each other. In another Somerset Premier Cup tie, The Seagulls ran out 4-0 away winners at Paprika Park, as the ground was named at the time, after a brace apiece from Tom Llewellyn and Eli Phipps. That year, The Seagulls went on to lift the Somerset Premier Cup with a win in the final in 2019.

TURNSTILES:

We will be operating four turnstiles.

Turnstiles 1 & 2 – located at our main turnstile block next to the club shop – card only.

Turnstile 3 – located on the opposite side of the ground by our 3G surface – cash only.

Turnstile 4 – located on the opposite side of the ground by our 3G surface – cash & card.

It helps with congestion and access to the ground if you queue at the correct turnstile.

As this is an ‘all-pay game’ relevant admission prices will be required to be paid by all. Entrance can be via any turnstile.

CAR PARK:

Our Supporters Car Park charges £2.00 to park on a match day. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept card payment for this. So please ensure you have £2.00 available to pay on arrival.

For Season Ticket holders, early arrival is recommended, your car park will be for your exclusive use, when full you will be given free parking in the Supporters Car Park, where possible, instead.

FACILITIES WITHIN THE GROUND:

Please note our Sportsman Bar will close 90 minutes prior to kick-off, at which time the turnstiles will be open and access can be made into the ground.

Our Somerset Suite Bar, Sports Lounge Bar, Kitchen and inside ground Joe’s Bar will all be open.

Card payment can be made at all three locations.

GROUND REGULATIONS:

Please note our full Ground Regulations are detailed on our website HERE. All spectators are expected to adhere to these regulations during any game held at The Optima Stadium. Failure to do so can result in expulsion from The Optima Stadium and its facilities with no refund issued.

CLUB SHOP:

The Club Shop within the Optima Stadium will be open for all Weston-super-Mare AFC first team games.
