SEAGULLS MAKE JOURNEY TO CORNWALL

Tomorrow the Seagulls travel to Truro City FC where they will be looking to avenge the 4-0 hammering they suffered at Treyew Road back in December.

Weston are unbeaten in their two away league games throughout 2019 so far, a 1-3 win over Gloucester City on New Years Day and a 1-1 draw away to Eastbourne Borough last time out. Centre-back Jason Pope is almost back from injury after picking up a separate injury from the one sustained against Billericay Town on 5th January, while Ben Swallow has joined Merthyr Town FC on a one-month loan.

Truro will be looking to patch up their wounds after the 5-0 hammering to Stockport County in the FA Trophy last Saturday. The Cornish side have won two out of their last five in the league. Midfielder River Allen is suspended having accumulated ten yellow cards this campaign while Harvey Rivers, Nick Grimes and Nick Hurst are all available having been cup-tied against Stockport last Saturday.

On Weston’s last trip to Truro, it was a dismal performance as the Cornish side won 4 – 0 in the FA Trophy just over a month ago. Dan Rooney opened the scoring before Tyler Harvey slotted in to double the advantage. Harvey volleyed in for a third, with Rooney slotting in a fourth late on to finish the tie off.
