SEAGULLS SUPPORTERS PRAISED
All we ever seem to hear about is the hooligan element of clubs. Well……….we have received this brilliant email from an Ebbsfleet supporter:
‘I would like to send you this email to say how proud you should be with your supporters.
My son and I are Ebbsfleet fans and My son idolises our goalkeeper so we are always behind him in the second half where the away supporters are. Today unfortunately one of the (so called) Fleet fans tried to start an argument with your fans who very calmly asked them to stop, moved away from him and even asked the Ebbsfleet stewards to help, it took a while for them to take the person out of the ground but your fans kept very calm and did your club very proud.
You always hear bad things about fans at football games and I just wanted to take the time to thank them.’

I was one of the 7 (including my 10yo) behind the goal when we were targeted by four young lads who decided to try and take our flag down and verbally abuse us after our goal.
It’s nice that somebody first of all realised that it was all one sided, and secondly took the time to write to the club to express their views in such a positive way.
Other than those four kids, everybody from the 50/50 guys to the many random supporters who wished us a safe journey home made it a very enjoyable visit.
