SEAGULLS TAKE ON THE WATERSIDERS
After a postponed match on Saturday, the Seagulls welcome Blackfield & Langley to The Optima Stadium on Tuesday 3rd March, KO 7:45 PM.
Ahead of this fixture, we have arranged a pitch inspection by a suitably qualified referee. This will take place mid-afternoon on match day.
The Watersiders travel 2 and a half hours as we face them for the second time this season. Our last meeting presented a 2-1 loss as Blackfield came back with a winner in added time despite a promising opener from Waite nine minutes before half time.
Seventeenth place Blackfield have picked up three losses and two draws in their last five games whilst Weston are hoping to continue their winning streak.
A win for ninth place Weston would mean moving above Gosport Borough and Salisbury into 7th place with still two games in hand over Gosport. Salisbury will have two games in hand on Weston after tomorrow night’s game. This would edge the Seagulls a step closer to their Saturday hosts Tiverton Town, depending on their result as they face Beaconsfield Town on Tuesday evening.
Three points for Blackfield would separate them from 18th place Harrow Borough with a game in hand. A win would also place them above Hartley Wintney who have however played considerably less games than Blackfield and Langley.

FIND THE OPTIMA
Leave the M5 at Junction 21 and take the A370 towards Weston town centre. Continue across three roundabouts and at the 4th (where there is a McDonalds) turn left into Winterstoke Road. Go straight across the mini roundabout, over a railway bridge and you will see the ground on your right hand side.
We have a fair sized car park at the stadium however there are a limited amount of match day parking for Blue Badge holders these spaces must be booked in advance. If you are travelling by coach/mini bus please contact ahead of time to enquire about reserving a space.
