SEAGULLS TRAVEL TO DEVON IN CHRISTMAS CLASH

Weston are back in league action as they travel down to Devon to face Tiverton Town at the Ian Moorcroft Stadium on Monday 27th December, 3pm kick-off.

The Seagulls come into this Christmas fixture off the back of Swindon Supermarine ending their long unbeaten run. A Marlon Jackson goal from six yards out wasn’t enough to secure victory as two second half goals from the hosts ensured the game finished 2-1.

Tiverton have been an exciting watch recently with 19 goals for and against in the past 4 games.

Their results have included two 2-2 draws coming against Merthyr Town and Gosport, a 3-3 draw against Kings Langley and a narrow 3-2 defeat away to Harrow Borough.

Scott Bartlett’s Weston side currently occupy 7th spot in the Southern League South. The Seagulls have amassed 34 points in 20 games and are just 3 points off the play-off spots. Bartlett’s side also boast one of the best defensive records in the league.

Tiverton, under the joint management of Scott and Martyn Rogers, are currently 17th in the table and have 25 points in 21 games.

Having recently re-signed for the Yellows, Owen Howe will be a familiar face for the travelling Weston faithful. Howe had a brief spell at the Seagulls in the 2019/20 season and perhaps his most notable moment was a goal in the Somerset Premier Cup Final against Taunton Town.
