SEAGULLS TRAVEL TO DEVON IN MIDWEEK BATTLE

Weston travel to Tiverton Town in a Southern League South match on Wednesday 30th March, 7:45pm kick-off.

The Seagulls come into this midweek clash off the back of a resounding 6-0 win at home to Hendon. Hat-tricks from Dayle Grubb and Sonny Cox gave Weston a vital three points on a sunny Non-League Day.

Tiverton are on a handsome run of form and have won their last 5 games. This includes wins against high-flyers Yate Town and Hayes & Yeading.

The play-off race shows no signs of slowing up as Weston still occupy the final playoff spot, 1 place ahead of Chesham United. After Yate’s 3-0 home loss to Swindon Supermarine, it leaves the Bluebells 6 points behind with just 2 games in hand.

Last time the two sides met was at the Optima Stadium back in August 2021 on Bank Holiday Monday. Goals from Nick McCootie and Scott Laird ensured a point in an entertaining 2-2 draw.
