SEAGULLS TRAVEL TO SLOUGH FOR NIGHT ENCOUNTER

Tomorrow, the Seagulls travel to the home of Slough Town, Arbour Park, for the fourth league game for either side during this National League South campaign.

The Seagulls are yet to win this campaign, and following the disappointment of Saturday’s 2 – 3 defeat to St Albans in which Weston went two ahead, they will be looking for those important three points tomorrow. Jamie Lucas pulled up short with a groin injury on Saturday, so Gethyn Hill may be in line for his first start of the new league campaign.

Slough are new to the division, having been promoted from the Southern League Premier Division, thanks to a goal from former Weston loanee Manny Williams. As mentioned, Williams has played for the Seagulls before, a loan spell in the 2008-09 season. Also in their ranks, Slough have National League South regular Scott Davies, formerly of Wealdstone and Chelmsford. The Rebels currently have four points from three games, having beaten Gloucester City 1 – 2 last time out.

On the game, Marc McGregor commented:

We’ll be evaluating what happened on Saturday, and how I can tweak it, if I need to. We’ll see what our gameplan will be against Slough, we’ll go there, we’re positive. They had a great result on Saturday against Gloucester, they play on an artificial surface but we train on one as well so it won’t be any different. I expect us to go and make a good account of ourselves
