SEAGULLS TRAVEL UP TO CHIPPENHAM
This Saturday, Weston return to league action as they journey to Chippenham Town for a National League South encounter.
Weston still have only one league win this season to their name and after their last league outing, a 1-1 draw at home to the team closest to them in East Thurrock United. Marc McGregor knows that a positive run of form is now needed over the busy festive period. Jarrad Welch is still recovering from his injury sustained in the FA Cup first round draw to Wrexham, while it is unknown if Eli Phipps will be back for Saturday.
Chippenham are currently pushing for the playoffs and are sat in 8th place, just outside the playoffs on goal difference and level on points with Wealdstone. Chippenham’s first team lost 3-2 to Wingate & Finchley in the FA Trophy on Tuesday night, so there is a chance that the Bluebirds could have a few tired legs amongst them. Karnell Chambers is currently the home side’s in form man, having hit the net regularly in recent games.
In their previous visit, Weston lost 2-0 to the Bluebirds. Andy Sandell turned and fired in a Kaid Mohammed cross, before right-back Mike Jones bombed on down the right to reach a diagonal ball and chipped the ball over Luke Purnell and into the net to double Chippenham’s advantage in a good first half for the hosts.
Ticket prices for the gane are as follows: Adults: £12, Concessions: £7, Junior (U16-18): £3 (Free if accompanied by a Parent), Students and Members of the Armed Forces £7 with Student card/ID Card etc. Any of the above prices stand tickets are £1 extra paid at the stand entrance. The game kicks off at 3:00pm, Saturday 1st December, at Hardenhuish Park.
