SEAGULLS VISIT HUNGERFORD IN THEIR FIRST AWAY FIXTURE OF THE NEW SEASON

In their first away game of the season, Weston make the journey to Berkshire on Monday evening to take on Hungerford. Both sides will be looking to pick up their first win of the league season.

Weston lost their opening fixture of the league campaign, going down to a 1 – 2 defeat at home to Poole Town, where controversy overshadowed the play. Seagulls manager Marc McGregor has travelled to Holland to take on a PFA Advanced coaching plan for the next ten days, leaving the squad in the capable hands of Rob Boyd and Ian Harris for tomorrows fixture.

Hungerford drew their first league fixture of the campaign, drawing 0 – 0 away to Dartford. Hungerford have former Seagulls loanee Tom Meechan in their squad, who spent the first half of last season at the Woodspring Stadium and the final two months at Hungerford on loan before his release from Newport County.

The last time these two sides met, Hungerford won 2-1 thanks to two second-half goals after an early strike from former striker Brad Ash. Weston will be hoping for a better score this time around.
