SEAGULLS VISIT TABLE TOPPERS

Tomorrow, the Seagulls visit National League South table toppers Billericay Town, with three points in the sights of both teams.

After Tuesday’s defeat to Slough Town, the Seagulls sit second from bottom after the first four games, with just one point to their name. Aaron Parsons limped out of Tuesday’s game half an hour in, meaning George Morris-Edwards may get a chance to impress Seagulls boss Marc McGregor, whereas going forward, the gaffer will want Welshman Jarrad Welch to continue his scoring streak and get another to his name.

Billericay have started the season strongly, sitting top on goal difference following an unbeaten start. Striker Jake Robinson is also top of the scoring charts, having netted six in four games. The hosts also have former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jamie O’Hara in their ranks, as well as former Seagulls centre-back Ben Gerring, who spent a month on loan during 2016-2017 at the Woodspring Stadium.

Weston are yet to lose to Billericay in two National League South meetings between the pair, both coming during the 2012-2013 season. Weston drew 0 – 0 away from home, and won 1 – 0 against their opponents during that season, the latter result meaning that the Seagulls were the side who relegated Billericay in their only previous season at this level, Kane Ingram scoring the vital goal in that game.
