SEAGULLS WELCOME REBELS TO WOODSPRING
Tomorrow, Slough Town are the visitors to the Woodspring Stadium as Weston look for a first home league win of the season.
Since the turn of the year, Weston’s results have seemed to improve, losing one in the last four, which was a 2 – 3 loss to Billericay Town. Weston will be boosted by the chance that Jason Pope and Jarrad Welch have recently returned from injury, while versatile player Jake Lee is back from a two-game suspension.
Slough Town are unbeaten in their last three league games, but have only won one in their last five, a narrow 1 – 0 win over Chelmsford City. Slough’s former Seagulls striker Manny Williams departed the Rebels for Basingstoke Town in midweek. Slough currently sit 10th in the table and are only three points off the Playoffs.
Last time the sides met was in the FA Trophy back in November. A Marlon Jackson finish put the Seagulls ahead, before Ben Harris slotted in from close range. George Nurse scored a stunner to then put the Seagulls ahead, before Harris nodded home. In the second half, Gethyn Hill turned in a Nurse cross to win the game 2 – 3 for Marc McGregor’s side.
Tomorrow’s game is sponsored by Weston Blinds.
