SQUAD UPDATE FROM THE OPTIMA STADIUM
Jack Goodall has left the club at his request to find regular football, while young winger Travis Yule-Turner has been added to the first-team squad from the Academy. Ben Griffith has linked up with Willand Rovers on loan for a month, while Callum Eastwood and Bailey Kempster have had their Willand loans extended.
Goodall has been on the Seagulls books on-and-off for the past eight years, progressing through the academy when joining in 2012 before returning in 2016 and becoming a member of the under-18 squad. He made 14 senior appearances for the Seagulls since making his debut in April 2018.
On Jack, Manager Scott Bartlett said:
Jack is desperate to play so we have reluctantly allowed him to leave to pursue other options.
“He’s been a good servant and is popular among the group. I’ve told him he is welcome back anytime and we wish him well”.
Travis was included on the bench for the first-team on Tuesday night against Larkhall Athletic in the FA Cup after some impressive performances for the under-18 and under-19 teams early on this season.
Griffith has made three first-team appearances for Weston this season and will link up with Willand on loan for the next month.
Kempster and Eastwood have enjoyed a successful first month on loan at Willand in the league below, who are currently sixth and just outside the Playoffs on goal difference. Kempster has made seven appearances and been an unused substitute once, scoring one goal and assisting one, while Eastwood has made seven appearances and assisted one.
Manager Scott Bartlett said:
Bailey and Callum have done well at Willand and have been well looked after.
“We have extended their loans and also allowed Ben to join them for a month initially.
“It’s a great level for them to continue their education and I’m sure they will get some valuable experience.”
We would like to wish Jack all the best for the future, as well as good luck to Ben, Bailey and Callum at Willand.
