THE SEAGULLS BATTLE WITH THE BLUEBIRDS UNDER THE OPTIMA LIGHTS

Weston are in Vanarama National League South action as they take on Chippenham Town this Tuesday, November 14th. The match kicks off at 7:45pm.

The Seagulls will be hoping for drier weather in the build-up to this game after Saturday’s game with Worthing here in BS24 had to be postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

While Weston were unable to play, The Bluebirds were in action as they made the trip to Essex to take on Chelmsford City in National League South. Chippenham gained a more than respectable point, however they will have returned home disappointed after conceding an injury-time equaliser against The Clarets. Earlier in the game, Dan Ellison and Owen Windsor had found themselves on the scoresheet for Gary Horgan’s side.

There will be some familiar faces in The Bluebirds’ camp making the short journey here to Weston, as former Seagull loanees Alex Bray and Nat Williams are quite likely to be amongst the travelling party.

Weston striker Marlon Jackson, on the other hand, is another player who will play against his old side having re-signed for The Seagulls from Chippenham in November 2021.

Our midweek games under lights against fellow South West opposition has already seen plenty of drama this season, hopefully there will be some more good entertainment on offer this midweek.

We will be operating four turnstiles.

Turnstiles 1 & 2 – located at our main turnstile block next to the club shop – card only.

Turnstile 3 – located on the opposite side of the ground by our 3G surface – cash only.

Turnstile 4 – located on the opposite side of the ground by our 3G surface – this is for Weston-super-Mare AFC Walking Football Members, Women’s Teams Players and Junior Academy Members plus 1 parent – cash & card.

It helps with congestion and access to the ground if you queue at the correct turnstile.

WESTON-SUPER-MARE AFC WALKING FOOTBALL, WOMEN’S TEAMS & ACADEMY MEMBERS:

Please note the entrance for Walking Football, Women’s Teams & Junior Academy Members is now via Turnstile 4.

Those eligible members will be admitted entrance as per your team agreement.

Junior Academy Parents, you will need to be with the Junior Academy Member at time of entering.

WESTON-SUPER-MARE AFC SEASON TICKET HOLDERS:

Your entrance using your Season Ticket Card will be via the players’ and officials’ entrance.

CAR PARK:

Our Supporters Car Park charges £2.00 to park on a match day. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept card payment for this. So please ensure you have £2.00 available to pay on arrival.

For Season Ticket holders, early arrival is recommended, your car park will be for your exclusive use, when full you will be given free parking in the Supporters Car Park, where possible, instead.

FACILITIES WITHIN THE GROUND:

Please note our Sportsman Bar will close 90 minutes prior to kick-off, at which time the turnstiles will be open and access can be made into the ground.

Our Somerset Suite Bar, Sports Lounge Bar, Kitchen and inside ground Joe’s Bar will all be open.

Card payment can be made at all three locations.

GROUND REGULATIONS:

Please note our full Ground Regulations are detailed on our website HERE. All spectators are expected to adhere to these regulations during any game held at The Optima Stadium. Failure to do so can result in expulsion from The Optima Stadium and its facilities with no refund issued.

CLUB SHOP:

The Club Shop within the Optima Stadium will be open for all Weston-super-Mare AFC first team games.
