Weston take on Torquay United under the Optima Stadium lights in a Vanarama National League South clash this Tuesday, October 24th. The match kicks off at 7:45pm.

It’s been nearly five years since Torquay’s last visit to BS24. On that occasion honours were even in a thrilling 2-2 draw at the Woodspring Stadium in October 2018.

Bradley Ash scored a late equaliser to earn a point for The Seagulls after Opi Edwards had earlier given The Gulls a 2-1 lead. Of course, those two are now playing for the sides they scored against on that eventful evening.

Ash scored an impressive total of 45 goals in 131 games for his hometown club, and he has already found the net a few times for his new side after signing for Torquay in the summer.

Gary Johnson’s side come into this game on the back of Saturday’s 5-1 home win over Welling United, a welcome victory after successive home defeats against Maidstone United in the league and FA Cup.

Weston, meanwhile, will be looking to recover from the 2-0 loss at Braintree Town on Saturday.

A large crowd is expected at the Optima this Tuesday, with the home supporters hoping to see their team get their season back on track.
