Weston play their final game before Christmas as they head to Hampton & Richmond this Saturday, December 23rd. The match kicks off at 3pm.

After four games at the Optima Stadium, The Seagulls play their first away game in four weeks, the 1-0 victory at Dover Athletic on November 25.

Weston will be looking to recapture their excellent form from their seven game winning spell, after last Saturday’s 3-2 home defeat to Truro City.

However, this weekend’s fixture at Hampton will be extremely tricky. The Beavers are in fine form and are third in the Vanarama National League South table. In their last game they drew 0-0 at leaders Yeovil Town, just seven days after an impressive FA Trophy victory against Southend United at Roots Hall, where they won on penalties after a 2-2 draw.

The Seagulls and The Beavers have already played each other this season. On a roasting hot day in September, the points were shared after a 1-1 draw at the Optima. Marlon Jackson scored a second-half equaliser after Hampton had taken an earlier lead through Mason Bloomfield.

Bloomfield was a summer arrival at the Beveree, as was former Weston striker Ben Seymour. who joined The Seagulls on loan from Exeter City in 2017. Both Bloomfield and Seymour have adapted well to their new surroundings as they are Hampton’s joint-top leading scorers in the league with eight goals each.
