THE SEAGULLS TAKE ON THE STONES IN NATIONAL LEAGUE SOUTH

Weston are back in Vanarama National League South action at the Optima Stadium as they take on Maidstone United this Saturday, 28th October. The match kicks off at 3pm.

The Seagulls warmed up for Saturday’s encounter by beating Torquay United 3-2 on Tuesday night. In a thrilling game under the Optima lights, Weston emerged victorious after Reuben Reid’s well-taken brace against his former side, and Keiran Thomas’ spectacular 90th minute winner.

Not only was the victory extremely exciting, but it was also much-needed in front of another 2,000-plus crowd here in BS24.

The Seagulls face another side near the top this Saturday, as The Stones make the journey west. Maidstone are managed by ex-Wolves defender George Elokobi and he has steered his side to third in the current National League South table. In their latest fixture on Tuesday, they drew 0-0 at Welling United in a Kent derby.

With Weston galvanised by their splendid midweek win, hopefully another strong performance can be replicated in their clash with Maidstone this Saturday.

We will be operating four turnstiles.

Turnstiles 1 & 2 – located at our main turnstile block next to the club shop – card only.

Turnstile 3 – located on the opposite side of the ground by our 3G surface – cash only.

Turnstile 4 – located on the opposite side of the ground by our 3G surface – this is for Weston-super-Mare AFC Walking Football Members, Women’s Teams Players and Junior Academy Members plus 1 parent – cash & card.

It helps with congestion and access to the ground if you queue at the correct turnstile.

WESTON-SUPER-MARE AFC WALKING FOOTBALL, WOMEN’S TEAMS & ACADEMY MEMBERS:

Please note the entrance for Walking Football, Women’s Teams & Junior Academy Members is now via Turnstile 4.

Those eligible members will be admitted entrance as per your team agreement.

Junior Academy Parents, you will need to be with the Junior Academy Member at time of entering.

WESTON-SUPER-MARE AFC SEASON TICKET HOLDERS:

Your entrance using your Season Ticket Card will be via the players’ and officials’ entrance.

CAR PARK:

Our Supporters Car Park charges £2.00 to park on a match day. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept card payment for this. So please ensure you have £2.00 available to pay on arrival.

For Season Ticket holders, early arrival is recommended, your car park will be for your exclusive use, when full you will be given free parking in the Supporters Car Park, where possible, instead.

FACILITIES WITHIN THE GROUND:

Please note our Sportsman Bar will close 90 minutes prior to kick-off, at which time the turnstiles will be open and access can be made into the ground.

Our Somerset Suite Bar, Sports Lounge Bar, Kitchen and inside ground Joe’s Bar will all be open.

Card payment can be made at all three locations.
