THE SEAGULLS TRAVEL TO HERTFORDSHIRE FOR ST ALBANS CLASH

Weston are on the road this midweek as they make the trip to St Albans City this Tuesday, 21st November. The match at Clarence Park kicks off at 7:45pm.

As attention turns back towards Vanarama National League South action, The Seagulls will be looking to build on Saturday’s pleasing 4-1 home victory over Cray Wanderers in the Second Round of the Isuzu FA Trophy, as Weston made it into the Third Round proper of the competition for only the third time in their history.

In Saturday’s entertaining win over Cray, Jordan Bastin, Lloyd Humphries and Marlon Jackson all found themselves on the scoresheet, to add to debutant Alex Fletcher’s first goal in the white shirt of Weston, a finish that delighted all inside the Optima Stadium and beyond.

Tuesday’s opponents, St Albans, were also in Trophy action as they fell to a 3-1 defeat at National League North side, Bishop’s Stortford.

The Saints are managed by Ex-Bristol City and Exeter City midfielder David Noble, and he will be looking for a response against Weston as he was left clearly disappointed after their Trophy exit.

A good game under the Clarence Park lights awaits as both sides look for the all-important league points.
