Weston are back on the road in Vanarama National League South this weekend as they head to Slough Town this Saturday, February 3rd. The match kicks off at 3pm.

The Seagulls picked up a point in their last game, a 1-1 draw at Chelmsford City on Monday night. Jacob Jagger Cane equalised in the 90th minute with his sweetly-struck volley, and Max Harris also made a vital penalty save to ensure Weston returned home with a share of the spoils. Bearing in mind Chelmsford had won their previous six league games, the point gained was an excellent one.

The Rebels of Slough were also in midweek action as they were also on the road. They travelled to South Somerset but returned to Berkshire empty-handed after their 3-1 defeat at leaders Yeovil Town. Dan Bayliss scored Slough’s consolation goal at Huish Park.

As it stands, The Rebels are one place and one point above Weston, and Scott Davies’ side will no doubt prove to be tricky opponents this Saturday. Player-manager Davies was on the pitch when he guided his side to their 3-0 victory at the Optima back in August, in what was Weston’s first defeat of the season. After that bad day at the office against Slough, Weston will be looking to avoid a repeat as we head into an extremely busy February.

One scoreline that Weston will look to replicate is The Seagulls’ last visit to Arbour Park in November 2018. Weston beat Slough in an FA Trophy Third Qualifying Round tie after goals from new signing Marlon Jackson, George Nurse and Gethyn Hill.
