TURNER SIGNS PERMANENT DEAL IN BS24

Defender Will Turner has put pen to paper on a permanent deal with the Seagulls after impressing in our opening fixtures.

Turner has proven to be reliable along the Seagulls’ backline so far this campaign, featuring at right-back, centre-back and left-back when required.

The youngster came on as a substitute against Frome, Swansea City U23s, Slimbridge and Yeovil Town during Weston’s pre-season campaign before making his competitive debut from the bench in the league win over Merthyr Town.

He has since gone on to start six of the last seven games, as well as come on as a sub against Metropolitan Police.

On Will signing a permanent deal, Manager Scott Bartlett said:

Will has come in and been excellent.

“Sometimes injuries and things happen which give a young player an opportunity and he has grabbed it with both hands.

He is very versatile and is a consistent performer, and one we feel we can develop further”.

On his deal, Will said:

Firstly, I’d like to thank everyone at Weston for the way they have welcomed me into the squad.

“I’m really looking forward to the future and learning off of the experienced players and management at the club”.

We are delighted that Will has signed a permanent deal with the club and look forward to seeing him develop in BS24.
