WATTS STAYS WITH SEAGULLS

Weston-super-Mare AFC are delighted to confirm that winger Elis Watts will stay with the Seagulls for the 23/24 season.

Elis first joined the club on loan from Aldershot Town in March 2022 before making the move permanent the following summer and across his two spells, he has scored six goals and assisted seven in 48 appearances for the club.

When asked about Elis staying at the club, Manager Scott Bartlett said:

Elis is a good young player with a lot of potential, he made a good contribution to our success last season.

“He has settled well with us and from the middle to the end of last season we saw a real focus and drive to do well.

“We are looking forward to continuing that development”.

Elis said:

I’m very happy to have signed on this year after a very enjoyable and successful last season.

“Weston is the perfect club for me. I’m learning a lot and playing in front of a brilliant set of fans week in week out. This will only help me to get better as a player and enjoy my football.

“I’m very much looking forward to the season ahead with everyone”.
